Born and raised in Amsterdam, I started inline skating when I was five, together with my brother Mika Frijn. By the time I was seven, I entered my first competition, and from that moment, skating became a big part of my life. My weekends were spent on the road with my parents, traveling to events. Every day after school I’d be out skating, even when the skatepark was wet. At fifteen, I placed third at Junior Winterclash 2016, my first major competition. Since then, my goals have become clear. Now, as I work toward my first pro skate, I hope it inspires younger skaters to keep pushing and most of all, have fun with it. After years of skating in a more flexible boot, switching to Iqon was the change I needed. The ACT skate was stiffer and heavier, which gave me a different kind of control. For my pro skate, I wanted to find a balance, something in between the flex of the USD Aeon and the stiffness of the ACT. Lets call this the slightly more flexible version of the ACT. ;) For the colorway, I kept it simple and neutral, something that works for almost everyone.
